1. Who is responsible

The site is operated by Larkspur Meridian Media LLC, 2275 Larkspur Court, Suite 310, Reno, NV 89509, United States ("we", "us"). We are the controller of any personal information collected through the site. Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected].

2. Information we collect

We collect very little. The site is a static publication with no accounts, no login and no bookings taken on the site itself. The categories of information that may be processed are:

• Contact details you send us. If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and the content of your message.
• Technical data. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type, the pages requested, the referring page and the date and time of each request. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running.
• Cookie and preference data. Your cookie choice is stored in your browser's local storage. If you accept analytics or functional cookies, the information described in the cookie policy may also be collected.

We do not collect payment details, travel dates or booking information. Those are entered on the booking site you choose to visit and are governed by its own privacy policy.

3. How we use information

We use contact details to answer your message and to act on any correction you send. We use technical data to detect abuse, diagnose faults and understand, in aggregate, how the site is used. We use cookie preferences to honour the choice you made. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Outbound links and affiliate tracking

Links to booking sites contain identifiers that allow the booking site to attribute a visit to us, which is how commission is calculated. When you follow one of these links, the booking site receives your request directly and may set its own cookies. We receive aggregate reporting from affiliate programmes about clicks and completed bookings; this reporting does not identify you personally to us.

5. Service providers

We rely on a small number of processors to operate the site: a web hosting provider that stores the site's files and server logs, an email provider that delivers messages sent to our contact addresses, and, where analytics cookies have been accepted, an analytics provider that processes usage data on our behalf. Each processor acts under a contract that limits its use of the data to providing the service to us. Some providers may store data on servers in the United States or other countries.

6. Legal basis and your rights

For visitors in the United States, we comply with applicable state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) and Nevada's online privacy law. California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, to correct inaccurate information and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information as defined by those laws. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any right.

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we process personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation and equivalent laws. Our legal bases are consent (for non-essential cookies), legitimate interests (for security logs and answering correspondence) and, where relevant, compliance with legal obligations. You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict processing of your data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

7. Retention

Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and for up to twenty-four months afterwards in case of follow-up, then deleted. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider for a rolling period of no more than ninety days. Cookie preferences stay in your browser until you clear them or until the retention period stated in the cookie policy ends.

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to contact mailboxes and hosting accounts is limited to the people who need it and protected by strong authentication. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.

9. Children

The site is not directed at children under the age of sixteen and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The current version is always published at this address, and material changes will be signalled on the home page for a reasonable period.
